ltz50 quad no power

You are right about the grown up running the units up and down the road but the other thing you have to remember not all of us have flat ground for kids to ride on. Therefore they have to be able to climb hills, not mountains but even a slight grade would kill these little bikes. They can't even move a 40# up qa 10 degree slope that is sad

almost forgot you are right about one thing these little bike are a completely different machine once you open them up. It just a shame you have to spend so much time and money to do it.

I got a question, Whats the stall(rpm level before moving) on those ltz50's. I put those high quality clutch springs(2000RPM) in my son's KFX50 and he didn't care for it. He wanted that highstall hard hitting set-up which is stock when we bought the bike. I ran a bunch of timed runs with different roller weights. I was able to run heavier roller weights/faster times w/factory stall . The times were faster than with the 2000/1500rpm clutch springs. Ok, so whats my point(im rambling now). You might want to save your money and don't buy those 1500/2000rpm springs if you already have a high stall.Yea, the 1500/2000rpm will get you off the line, but you will catch them in a heart beat!!!

I have a 2006 LTZ 50 for my little boy. He was riding it one day then it just stopped. I tried starting it and the CDI started smoking. Now I'm thinking that I probably fried it some how. Has anyone else had a problem like this. And for a replacement if anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appriciate it.

I recently got a ltz 50 for my son. He loves it. I removed the speed limiter and found that FMF makes a full muffler setup for it. You can see it at their website, fmfracing.com. It should help. I first found it at the Dennis Kirk website where it is actually cheaper than fmf's site. It's $190, and you know the kids will love the shiny aluminum!! Before I get it Im gonna drill out the stock and weld in a washer like that picture. Maybe save some money.

I have replaced the cdi in my sons LTZ 50 and now it cuts out real bad. Not that its fast any ways. I'm gonna drain and replace the fuel and put in a new plug and hopefully that will help. If anyone out there can help me to beef this thing up at all he and I would really appriciate it. joshua_hal@yahoo.com

I cut off the spark arrestor then took the piece with the small pipe and cut it off on the backside, after that the small pipe will come out. Then I opened the remainging hole to 5/8. Put it back together and it was a great improvement! I did this stuff last Thursday in about 30 minutes and took it out on Saturday. My boy was haulin butt! Give it a try.

has anyone installed a K&N air filter on it yet? If so what did you do to the port on the engine that has a rubber hose going from it to the stock air box unit? I started my kids bike after installing the K&N and it was spitting fuel out of that port on the engine. Any help would be nice.
