On page 11 I kinda explained how I cut mine off. Its pretty easy to see after you take it apart. I have no idea what the dealer would say about it concerning the warranty. Did you buy the extended one? I ask because thats the only way I would have worried about it. After you drill it, you will have to adjust the air/fuel mixture but not jets. I imagine after I put on the k&n filter I will have to change jets. I know I will have to after putting on the fmf pipe.

You have an outer ring and the spark arrestor, after you cut off the screen part, you could only drill out that remaining ring and not touch the outer ring. Then you could put the stock outer ring back on if you had to take it to the dealer. They wouldn't know unless they took it off! I also drilled a 1/2 in. hole in the plate inside the muffler casing. Just look inside the hole and you will see it.

I did buy the extended warranty. I am thinking it might be best to just wait and buy the FMF or CT Racing (whichever is best) and put the K&N on at the same time. That way I can always put the stock set up back on and take it to the dealer if it needs repairs.

That is true! It will be hard to tell which pipe is better without someone trying each. I just don't think the ct could be better enough to spend the extra money. I bet they both have the same design inside.

You have a good point there. It is not like we are talking about exhaust systems on a built V8 where they vary.
Where do you buy jets? CTRacing only sells it with their pipe.

Pretty good! Trying to get my shopping done for Christmas!! My filter should be in tomorrow. I want to give it to him for a present, but I really want to put it on and see what it does! Ill wait for the pipe I guess. Im really trying to find a graphics kit for 50's. CT has one but not for the new models. I found some at brmoffroad.com. But there site is not to good. Hard to order without more info. I guess Ill call them.
