I think you are saying that the motor doesn't sputter when it hits the rev limiter. Am I correct? I can't imagine that the motor would not be reaching the limiter.

In my opinion the 48 tooth sprocket should not be too low. The 37 tooth sprocket is just way to high.</end quote></div>

Yep! You are correct Jeeper.....

Also, The motor feels like it is just short of reaching the rev limiter.

Thanks tbird
I hope she wins too...
After spending a small fortune on ctracing parts to really get this quad to move....

At this point, honestly i'm really happy with the little 50, it moves =)
i'm ordering that new cdi box too just to finish it off..
I know the quad doesn't really need when we trail ride it but at RaceWay Park NJ when the kids race there is a 60-70 yard back straight where there other quad were eating her up... So I need all the top end i can get... 9500rpms sounds really good...

I've got a couple of questions for you guys..

1) Modding the stock exhaust - what changes are you guys making?
2) When going to a larger rear sprocket (43T or 48T) do you have to also replace the chain? Is the stock chain long enough?

Re:Chain.. yes it will need to be longer..I ordered a new one online for about 30 bucks from ridegear.com
a MSR 415-RS Professional Regina chain 110 links..i will just cut it down

Does the chain guard have to be removed permanently?

Do you need any special tools to replace the rollers. I'm just about ready to pull the trigger and buy all the stuff from CT racing (exhaust, filter, jets, clutch kit, and CDI). I just ordered the service manual.

No special tools on the rollers..an air or electric impact will help remove the outer nut or nuts
