ltz50 quad no power

It was hard as hell to find a spot that will mill that little head down out here in the Bronx... I found a place though; I'll put the bike back together Friday night after work.
I hope what ever top end I lost with the sprocket, I'll get it back once I install the milled head...
After this I'm done with moding this bike, it's gutless even with all these mods... It took my daughter 5 1/2 lap to run down a DRR and the kid was letting off the throttle on some spots of the track where my daughter was wide open the whole time... this bike just has no *****... I'm done with putting money in this thing

Ok call me stupid but how are you planning on gaining top end speed by milling the head?Milling the head will not give you more rpms, so there for you will not gain any of your speed back.</end quote></div>
If the motor has more horsepower it can maintain more rpm's through the rough stuff or over hills. In an unloaded situation with the machine on jack stands a modded motor might not produce more rpm's, but it will have the ability to better maintain high rpm.
In the case of our "little slugs" they need all the help they can get. More compression should certainly produce more power across the entire throttle range.
My 48 tooth sprocket should be here today. In a couple of weeks I'll probably pull the head on ours.

we want more out of the whole and climbing power already did the free mods would you suggest the cdi or shaving first ? nice to join been reading this for a while</end quote></div>
THe CDI is a must if you ever plan on getting anything out of this little quad. Changing the CDI and removing 3 of the rollers made the biggest improvement of any of the mods I have done so far.

WHy do you belive it is running rich after having made modifications to allow more air into the motor??? If anything you are probably running lean. What is your elevation? Have you pulled the spark plug to read the color?

I took the 48 tooth off my sons quad and my son is much happier...i will put it back on when we hit the sand again...we went to Prairie city OHV park last sunday, with out the LTZ50 becase it is a red sticker, so he rode his crf50 instead..try explaining to a 6 year old why he cant ride his quad..because of the red sticker restriction
