hooking up headlights and tail lights

hooking up headlights and tail lights
is there any way to hook up foglights to a 1985 230 quad sport..it doesnt have a battery so when u rev it up the light gets brighter and i'm afraid it will blow the bulb...that is what happended when i tried to hook up a taillight..maybe some type of resistor? any help is appreciated! thanks

is that made into the factory headlight..or is it in the wiring? so basically i'm trying to say can i take off the factory headlight and hook up a fog light and it wont blow it? thanks
