The bar has been raised with both Suzuki and Kawasaki improving their flagship models for 2008. The '08 King Quad has been upped to 722cc, but I would like to know if they have made other improvements in handling, fuel delivery, power, etc. The '08 Brute Force 750i is improved with lower stance, narrower width, better shocks and seat foam, and new fuel injection.
Before these changes, my preference was the '07 King Quad, but the new BF is considerably improved and more to my liking now. The previous BF seemed too big for aggressive trail riding and the KQ had complaints of throttle lag and twitchy steering. I'd bet the BF is still the more powerful engine and the KQ is about the same as before. They don't appear to be talking up any real world improvements other than displacement. To me, that is just a spec improvement.
I'm now interested in getting a new '08, but want to hear from some of you. There should be some magazine shootout articles coming up soon.
