Extended warrenty problem

Hello all!
I'm looking for a little advice or feedback. I have a 2005 KQ700. The right rear diff seal has started leaking and it is still under the extended warrenty. The dealership is saying it is not covered because of weeds and grass in the seal. The warrenty states under item 3 that Seals and Gaskets are covered. I called GE warrenty but they claim they won't cover it based on the description provided by the mechanic...
Any advice? I feel the damn thing should be covered but can't get anyone to do it...

you learned the same lesson i learned...suzuki doesnt honor their extended warranty program...i have a 06 vinson with the frame broken in 5 spots...the funny part is they "inspected" the bike 2 times and it had 3 breaks well when i had it repaired the welder found 5 spots...the lesson here is buy used, and NEVER buy the extended warranty. If i had it to do all over again i would go to ebay, and find some yuppy's atv that he bought new and has 35 miles on it that is a year old or so...hey ya live and learn...also for any of you dead set on buying something new from the dealer here are some MUST KNOW's:
after market tires void your warranty.
change your oil (engine, differential etc) at exact warranty intervals(yea you know this) but keep all recipts for oil and filters...this is another way for suzuki to get behind you with no vasoline...
the last thing i can think of is dont get grass or dirt anywhere near your atv LOL

250redneck. Though I agree with your point on extended warranties, believe me, it's not just Suzuki. I've heard horror stories on all the major manufacturers about warranty issues. What it comes down to is how much is the service company going to go to bat for you. They probably don't get markup on parts so they don;t want to do it.

The better relationship you have with the dealer, the better your chances are.
I may spend 10 bucks on small items every time I go in, but they remember that I buy stuff every time.
Took the wifes quad in for service work. Of course, the warranty expired 10 days before.
Salesman talked to the owner, and they got it covered under warranty.
That doesn't mean I buy all my stuff from the dealer. Big money items I shop around and buy from the cheapest. But every once in a while, it pays to buy the factory air or oil filter. Or pick up some chain lube or grease.
They remember I've bought stuff, and it was stuff that took care of the machine.
Still, it does make you wonder how you're supposed to ride an off road vehicle and not get some type of grass or weeds stuck somewhere.

Scooter,
It appears this dealer doesn't care. I have bought all of spare parts there and 2 other bikes... I still have to pay a 75$ to get my bike back for there inspection fee... Can't tell you how disappointed I am in these people... I Call Suzuki of America today and they said flat out "If I can't show the seal was a manufacture defect then it is not covered." Simple as that...
Oh well live and learn the hard way...
