i just realized there is a cam for intake and a cam for exhaust. dual cams, duh. i am slowly getting up to speed, talking to you guys. so what happens if i get the stage 1 exhaust?
right now im thinking hot cams stage 1 intake and exhaust, rev cdi box, stage 1 jet kit,k&n powerlid, i already have a k&n air filter and a moose slip on donated by my brother in law if i can figure out how to make it fit after coming off a raptor
that would be a good christmas for me!

I don't think simple stage 1 mods will out run a 660. You have to decide how far you want to take this and at what cost in both money and rideability.

Go to z400central.com forum. I think you will get the best advice there. Be careful, those people can be ruthless. Make sure you do a search before you decide to post!!

Go to webcams. They have like 5 cam stages right on the page. Plus probably 10-15 other grinds if you call them. SUZUKI LT Z400 QUAD (2002-2005) 4v

Call and ask for Lori (I think Laura is her name, but she told me what sounded like Lori - she is the owner and one of the nicest people you'll ever talk to about quads.)

i would get a different pipe than trying to make one fit from a 660r and you will usually get a jet with the pipe sometimes to run open box. webcams are expensive and do offer different cams, hotcams only has one stage for the z 400. and i would choose the hotcams both intake and exhaust because they are cheaper than webcams but still offer a great performance increase. then i would suggest taking the airbox lid off if you dont ride in mud or get a outerwears or protec air box lid if you do ride in mud. then jet it and if you think it doesnt rev high enough then i would suggest a cdi
