I was out in the garage tonight mounting my new mile marker 2500 lb winch, it came time to hook up the wires and I am not sure which wire is which I know the quad is pre-wired for the winch and I see the blue and yellow wires. Does anyone know which one is positive from the battery and which one is the negative??? Thanks

 

On my Eiger the wires run from the battery compartment to the front of the quad. They are not connected to the battery, so I would assume that you could have either one be the positive or negative. I think they're both the same gauge wire, but if not I would use the larger one as the positive.

 

You should have two wires that came with the winch and two on front of atv that came from the factory. Hook up one factory wire and one that came with winch to one post. Do the other two wires the same way. If winch runs backwards just swap two wires to different posts. That should fix you up.
