A plugged pipe can cause that. Got alot of flow comming out of the end of the pipe?
I gotta go, I'll type more tonight.

Stick it in a fire and get it red hot. Then blow compressed air thru. I just did one. Smoked it up for miles. j/k

OK, I am in suspense. I have a 1987 lt80 with the same issue. Cleaned carb, Good compression, goes like heck at high rmp's but bogs and will hardly move from a stop. Read all the posts, triple checked all the vacum lines, good fule flow, cleaned carb again, starts fine, idles ok, but needs a push to get her going. Would love to hear the solution to this thread

if it runs good and moves with a little help, I would look at the front variator, the rollers could be stuck or wore out, or rusted up so it dont move, or the back clutch sheaves could be stuck with dirt or rust, this would be like trying to start out in hi gear, barely moves, but goes good once you get it rolling. both front and rear clutches need to move freely to get the power to the ground from off idle. I had an old 87 for my boy years back, same thing, barely moved from dead stop, but was ok once it got rolling. turned out the back clutch was packed full of belt dust and dirt, not opening up,took it apart and cleaned it, and the front variator rollers were all flat spotted, so not much going on there either. Once it was all fixed up and moving freely, it took off like a racer !! 2 strokes dont have a lot of bottom end grunt, they need that clutch to spin up to get power to the wheels to get it moving.amazing what a little wear and tear on the clutch will do to the power output.

Thanks, Soaking the Carb one more time, the last time i installed it, it was having trouble starting without giving it a shot of ether. Then fires right up. Idle wasnt doing real good either, and really seemed bogging down at less than 1/2 throttle, once wound she ran good. Pulled me around the yard like crazy. But cant send my 7 year old riding like that. Very hard to keep running at less than 1/2 throttle, now, even when i have it on jacks off the ground. I baby the throttle and get it over 1/2 and she screams. Hmmmm, soo cleaning carb again. i was thinking of getting into clutch but at least want it to run decent while on jacks first. Even when riding it fairly fast, if i back off throttle and then try to re-apply it just seems it has to get past that 1/2 position to get the rrevs up. Thanks for all the help, i will keep digging and get her going.
