can a little quadmaster 50 be run very slowly without problems
My son is 6 and a little old for a power wheels but he really wanted one. I am kind of leaning towards a used quadmaster 50. Can I govern the speed to really slow 3-6 mph without causing transmission or engine problems? Thanks

I dont know, but we got a little 110 for the youngen and I screwed the governor all the way to the point that it just starts to climb a small hill (any less and it wouldn't move) and it will still go just as fast as full throttle! The problem is the automatic tranny. If it had regular gears it would only go 2 mph, but the tranny keeps making it go faster n faster.
I dont know what a quadmaster 50 is, but if it has shiftable gears, yes, you can do what you planned. If it has the CVT autotranny, no, it will still go fast.

The LT50 comes with exhaust and intake restrictors, plus a throttle limiter. My son started riding at age 3 on his and I had it slowed down to a walking pace. Would only go on flat yard, dirt, driveway, etc. Perfect beginners quad.

The Quadmaster 50 doesn't have any real transmission - it's strictly a single speed drive. IIRC, it doesn't come with any kind of throttle screw but you should be able to rig up something simple to limit the throttle. Power will be down so it will only be good for flat ground. Keep an eye on engine temperature, as it will tend to run hot at those continous low speeds.
