please help lt80 starter replacement

Default please help lt80 starter replacement

I haev tried to replace the starter on my lt80 and I am stuck do I have to pull the whole engine. I can't figure out how to get it out. If you know please help as I have already taken off the left side cover adn the bolts for the starter it is loose, but I can't get it out. Thanks

They are hard.
Try removing the main bolt that holds the motor in and moving the motor slightly to get it out.

Default please help lt80 starter replacement

i replaced my sons twice. remove the battery lift the front end up 90 degrees remove the front motor bolt. this will allow enough clearance. its a pain but just becareful when you move the motor around its a little top heavy. good luck

Default please help lt80 starter replacement

Our 80 is at a small engine mechanic shop now. The mechanic is saing the starter can't be replaced without removing the engine. Is there any specific info you can give for replacing the starter?
