i believe the are a mark on bothe the magneto and the cam gear my question is to set the timing do they point towards or away from each other thank you

 

ok, there is marking etched in the flywheel, line that up the the point on the case, to double check i the piston should be at TDC. then there are the two marks on the cam, those need to be horizontal, to check that both lobes on the came will be pointed down.
