My left engine cover on my lt230 keeps cracking. the one that i have on now is like destroyed and right b4 i bought it it had to be replaced bc it cracked. what could possibly be the cause of this???

 

It's been a long time since I had my 230s but is the kick-starter on the LH side? I remember hating that damn sideways kicker but I cannot recall which side it was one..... I was just thinking that maybe somehow the kicker is hitting the case?

Either that or maybe you have a crack in the engine block that is causing stress on the side cover?

I don't know, that is a strange one...... I've never heard of a side cover just cracking, especially more then once........

 

the kick start is on the right hand side and i dont know why the hell it keeps cracking but it does and now i think that if i get a new on that that one is going to crack to and i dont want that to happen so i dont know what to do
