My question would be, do you have to block it? I mean can't you just do a pre-mix with your fuel and leave the oil tank empty? That is what I have been doing.

I used a block-off plate for a blaster on my 2002 lt 80. It fits prettty good. I took the pump off and I don't remember a shaft? It's been to long!

You must remove the clutch cover then remove the lil black plastic thing that drives the pump.
If not removed, the pump will still turn but with no lubrication.

Once the black thing is removed, it's your call. You can leave it alone or make something. The line to the carb needs to be plugged.

Check the rollers for flat spots. Lightly scuff the rear contact pads to remove the glaze.

the oil tank line: it's not used so remove, block, leave alone,,,it's all good.
Surely you can run the fuel mix that your using in other machines.
Sounds like you got it all covered.

first off thanks for the info .But one more question the fellow that i used to buy my synthetic amsoil from has passed away so now i need to know a good premix to run.i am looking for a oil with very little smoke because the kids hate the cloud of smoke from the rider in front. they are running stock lt80s minus the oil injection.what do you run ?i believe i used to buy 100 to 1 premix from him does this sound right.thanks again

I've never been a believer in the low ratio oils (50:1 and up). I know they are made for that,,but,,....
My favorite oil is TORCO GP-7 (torcousa.com). It's a smokeless oil. I run it at 32:1
I hear raves about Redline oil.
Klotz R-50 is a good oil.
