Freaking brake wont stop squealing!!!!!!!!!
#1
My wifes Z400 back brake will not stop squealing! I have taken it totally apart and cleaned everything! Should I change the pads or is it the rotor? Any one else with this problem?

might try taking a scratch pad and roughing up the rotor a little bit. maybe she rode the brake for a while and put a glaze on it. using the scratch pad will remove the glazing. just a thought

Thanks guys, yeah I took a pad and roughed up the rotor and pads to make sure they were clean and had no glaze. Put it back together and still there! I bet its the stupid rotor. My luck wont let it just be the pads!

Try some automotive "disc brake quiet" stuff...... it works with cars so I don't see why it won't work with ATVs also....</end quote></div>
I second that. We had the same problem with our 400 LTZ. Worked wonders.

You guys mean that spray on grey stuff with the flakes in it? I have some of that stuff in the garage. Are you guys putting the gel stuff on the back of the pads also?
