My dealer just called and said that they recieved a letter allowing the sale of parts.
Now this pertains to Suzuki and LT80 parts. I didn't ask about other models.
Not sure how this effects others brands/models, but it's a good sign.

 

i am probably ignorant, but what does that mean. Why could the dealership not sell parts before?

Are you talking aftermarket parts?

Please educate me incase I have been missing something.

 

Kinda strange but one of the Chinese ATV sellers here got a letter like that awhile ago..

not too long ago, the cpsc enacted a ban on all youth offroad products because of some bullsh!t lead content crap.

that included parts, and i think even gear.

but hopefully we can slowly but sureley maneuver our ways around the ban, or just get it lifted entireley (im sure the cpsc will reconsider soon enough when kids start hopping on bigger bikes and getting killed)

They are trying to get it straight....... Poor wording of the bill is what caused this whole thing.

 

Don't feel bad UG, I knew about the ban, but couldn't figure out the point of the post either.

I say ban the cpsc! They're just an organization that can't handle their compulsive fear that somebody, somewhere, might be thinking for themselves.

The point of the post is that there are ppl out there (and here) needing LT80 parts.
LT80 parts were under the new lead content ruling and Zuki was not allowed to sell them.
