oh and just another quick thought, i'm thinking that those heims i found earlier (8mm to match the piviot/mounting bolt) are wayyyy too small. i really would like the inside diameter to match the oem bolt and be all fancy and what not, but unfortunatley, on all the heims that ive found the ID matches the shank, and 8mm is just too small. so i guess im going to look at 10 and 12mm ones, but not i'm not sure if they will clear the little webbings in between the frame tabs.

any thoughts?

They are the LT250S shocks and they are plush feeling! I haven't ridden with them yet though.

Yup, looks like 250R shocks ARE pretty close to 250S shocks: http://www.worksperformance.com/pdf/app_guide/atv.pdf Half inch difference... Not sure works measured them the right or if the S shocks are really longer than the R.

Thanks for the pic. Much easier to find 250R shocks than 250S shocks.

I'm not sure what to think about those little squares. Never saw an idea like that before.

Atvman, those red springs turned out nice! Sure brings out the red accent you have on the side. And I like the red n blue combo. Good Job!

Can you post some links to the hiem joints you're considering? I'm confused by what you're saying. Shank? Inside Diameter? What is 8mm? The size of the hole in the heim or the threaded rod of the heim?

And this i before e crap isn't helping, lol.

well, the bolts that go thru the frame tabs and actually hold on the arms by the bearings are 8mm, if i remember correctly. at first, i wanted to go with heims that had an 8mm ID (size of hole in ball) for a nice fit, but then i realized that the shank (threaded portion coming off of heim) would also be 8mm, which is WAY too small. so basically, now im looking into 10mm or maybe even 12mm heims. i guess ill have to use a bushing of some sort for a proper fit on the frame. the p/n that you can punch in on www.mcmaster.com for a cad drawing and specs is: 59935K85
