hahaha neither am i lol!!! but ive always prefered "T" joints over butt joints whenever possible, so i guess we're gonna find out how this setup works. atleast it remedies the problem of me having two different size tubes, so i dont have to go buy more. and even with the proper sized tubes, its such thin walled stuff that it probably wont get along very well with my welding skills hahaha.
however, if the a-arm tubing was as thick-walled and as round as my home cheapo pipe, i probably would have just chamfered the ends, zapped em, and called it good.

I should have went with heims! Well,,,, I know what I'm doing when I need new a-arm bearings, lol.
Yeah, just stick a bushing to make up the extra hole size. You could even do a 12mm (almost 1/2 inch). Make sure the bushing is not as wide as the heim itself so that the heim is firmly squished when you tighten the bolt.

atvman - hey thanks alot man.
justrandy (cuz im sure hes gonna be around here soon lol) - as far as camber goes, did you extend the upper and lower a-arms the exact same amout, or did you try to go for a more racy setup with the uppers being just slightly shorter. also, will the added length in general affect the camber? what about as the suspension goes thru its stroke?
