I doubt it. I'm sure you need new valve seals, but I've seen too many engines with worn out oil rings.
You could take one engine that can be overbored w/o being resleeve and have somebody do a top-notch super-tight bore job to it and be able to ride all summer without issues. I mean top-notch too. If the rod isn't holding the piston straight, the tightness of the bore will have to do.
Its really hard to do any planning before you get it apart and see what's what. Plan on replacing the intake valve though.

well if im gona have the engine redone i want it done right so it will last many many years. im gona take one of my engines in and have it bored out, or resleeved, check and probably replace the rod bearings, new intake valves and valve seals,crakn bearings, and gasket kit...im guessing $4-500 with labor.
and do i have to get a rebore kit, because i see that LA sleeves has a 257cc sleeve by itself for sale?
if i do it right, what will the longgevity of the engine be? i treat my things well and dont beat them.
