LT230S Rear Shock
#21
yeah suprisingly.
but theyre different than the 250s rezzied units. instead of having the hose come out at 90 degrees to the shock body, they have a fancy aluminum elbo thats part of the upper eyelet that lets the hose out at about 45 degrees, and the rezzie is smaller, with a shorter hose, too.
oh and hopefully, the 230E shock is sprung the same, and has the same eye to eye length as the 230s unit, cuz i just put a bid in on one on ebay hahaha!

alright guys, heres what i ended up getting:

fancy needle bearings

theres that strange eyelet i was talking about

stepped-style preload adjuster as opposed the the stock 230s's threaded shock body

NICE welds!
the install was super easy, the only small complications were finding a place for the rezzie to mount, and i had to machine a little bushing for the lower eyelet cuz the shock had a 10mm hole, and i wanted to use my stock bolt (8mm).
overall im very happy with it, and i havent even ridden it hard yet! just not having that stupid bounce fills me with great satisfaction, and the rezzie looks fancy, too.
ill let you all know how things work out after the first ride.
