Default Need info. on a 07 400 Eiger

A buddy of mine is looking at one of these, and wants to know good and bad and top speed, how is the air cooled motor does it over heat much , and how does it perform. This will be his first quad.

I have an '03 Eiger. It's a great quad, have used it for plowing, trail riding, and work around the house with 0 problems. The air cooling does great, it has a small oil cooler with fan that helps too. I've never had the red overheating light come on. The simplicity of it really makes it quite reliable.

I have an 07 I bought it new. I love this quad. We mostly use it for deer hunting. It hauls everything several people, feed, tree stands, deer. It is fun to ride its good on trails its quick. It is not a raptor but it moves. Its reliable it always starts. It gets cold here it can be freezing covered in snow and ice and it starts. In the summer when its Hot it has never given me a problem and I have left it idling for long periods of time while setting things up and winching things. I hope this quad just keeps working the way it has since I bought it.

I noticed the oil fan on my 02 did not come on as much in the summer when I switched to 5w40 synthetic.
