03 vinson lost all power to dash after jumping battery.

Default 03 vinson lost all power to dash after jumping battery.

my buddy put a set of jumper cables on the battery to charge it.well he put the terminals on backwards and now i have no power when i turn the key on.went and bought a new battery but it still wont work.theirs no power of any kind to anything.i checked all the fuses and are good.if i jump the syarter solenoid it will turn over but still no power to dash and has a new key switch.please help.

oh man, that doesnt sound good.

maybe you cooked a diode? do you have a wiring diagram?

no and where would the diodes be located and how do i tell if they are bad now?thanks

changed the starter realy and now i have all my lights and stuff but it won't start with the starter button.I even changed the little relay under the seat also when i turn the key on it used to make a click sound like a realy now it doesn't.was wondering if the cdi box could have got burnt.

My brother did the same with one of my machines and it was just a fuse. Check them carefully.

EDIT: Duh...

yes alot of times a fuse will be blown but looks perfectly fine. test them all

hopefully you didnt cook cdi or voltage regulator

Did you end up finding the problem?

Main fuse is on the solenoid not in the fuse box, put a battery on backwards and it is always this one that blows, could have blown your regulator too so check it is charging when you do get it going.
