86 lt230 rear shock

Default 86 lt230 rear shock
i was wondering if there are other shocks from different models that would fit the lt230 to make the rear more firm. like wud a 250 rear shock fit without doing a bunch of work to it?? thanks in advanced

hey lt230E (not S) rear shocks have a firmer spring rate and bolt right up. they also have a nitrogen reservoir which is a bonus too.

the E rear shocks require you to drill ur frame and swingarm out to a larger bolt hole. I installed a warrior rear shock on mine and it made a big difference

oh i almost forgot about that. i used a 10mm id by 12mm od bushing cut down to about an inch and i used the original S bolt. thats only needed for the bottom, the top bolt is the same as original.

will the 350 rear warrior shock bolt right up or does it need modifications???

actually one more question do u have the linkage on it. If so can explain how that works if possible to explain. i kinda have an idea how it hooks up but not completely sure if im right.

actually i noticed that the shock is like a inch maybe a lil more longer will that make a difference??

it is a little longer but when you sit on it it evens out about the same and soaks up bumps better
