Anyone know a good way to remove the drive axles from the front of a 93 suzuki quadrunner 4x4?

i have a service manual, and its saying to use a slide hammer with a bearing puller. im having a hard time with this and was wondering if anyone knows an easier way?

they just pop out but you may have to pry them from the inside end

 

thanks i will try prying them a little and see if they come out
