$7 a can, and I'm at around $75 in paint. The thing will be sold before it even has an hour of riding time, does anyone think I could push $1800-$2,000 when done?

I doubt you could sell it for that. It only costed that much new. You might be able to get $1300, like tops. What type of mods have you done to it? Have you gotten a bigger carb, bigger piston, aftermarket exhaust, nerf bars, better air filter, better shocks? Also, have you gotten better internal guts in the engine like the crank or a racing clutch? If you have gotten most of that stuff you might be able to pull off $1600 if your really lucky. An lt230 around here with no upgrades, but in good condition sells for around $700-$800 and it takes a while to sell it. If you have new plastics and many upgrades, around here you can get like $1200. If you have one that doesn't run you can sell it for like $150-$250 around here.

Wow prices vary a lot I guess, because I live on a main road and there are a lot of morons out there come spring looking for vehicles for their kids and what not. All stock, brand new clutch plates and fibers, usual tuneup, $75 in paint and over 15 hours paint labor. I definitely won't have a problem at $1,300 around here, I might not even take less than $1,500 (lots of woods around this city of mine) I have sold machines far worse for $1,200, it will look brand new even the plastics will. Stay tuned

Thumbs up

Rear axle and front brake lines are painted, not clear coated yet though. Everything else on the frame will be the green my exhaust pipe is, then various other red parts.

Cool Can you say RED!?

2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint, 1 coat of clear. At least 48 hours between each coat.

Question

These are two spare pistons that came in the parts bin, obviously one is junk and the other is probably also junk. But why is one flat and one have scoops? Do they even go to this engine?

the one on the right has the indention's because most likely the valves were slapping up against the piston. could be timing issue or bad valve guides. could also mean the possibility of foreign objects somewhere ins the crankcase. i would definitely look into it before that engine gets fired up. maybe split it or flush it just to make sure.
