I plan on getting it running to putt around and tune it for the summer then rip it down and restore it over the winter. First thing I'm doing is taking a dremel to that nose/grill and removing every other fin ...you know what look I'm going for (lt250)

There has got to be a way to decode the serials. So I have it in my possession now and this thing is going to be fun when it's running it looks beastly for its size.
Here is all the spare engine parts plus two tie rods, brake lever, rear shock, and a chain. If you look in the back there is an entire engine block.
As for the engine goes I need an assembly guide where can I download one online or do I HAVE to buy one? What is missing here? Supposedly it needed a new clutch what would that typically involve, plates and or rings? There has got to be various missing things here the kick start lever is not on it either is the keyed rod it goes on. Can someone guide me please?
This is what I was thinking on doing to the nose/grill:

The blue nose and seat on orange is an '86 I believe. I know you can get the year from the vin to be sure though. Call a dealer if you can't dig it out online. The Clymer manuals also have a section that decodes the vin. Nice pickup for $60.00. I miss mine a bit, and would have jumped on that in a heartbeat.

If I buy a manual will it have the assembly diagram in it for the motor and gears? That's all I need so I can put it back together correctly.
I tried decoding the vin but did not understand and I might be missing digits. Using this chart: My Suzuki Pages - FAQ: identification
I got lost if anyone can help me out my frame vin is: J43A762119587

The G(second digit in the silver section) denotes an '86 model year. I had the same model .
Unfortunately a few of your digits have been scuffed off, but that is pretty common on these things. It makes sense if you use that faq link and work your way to either side using the G as the year.
