If you aren't into re welding the side cover, I would try the JB or something along that line first. A lot of machines out there fixed that way and running fine. I just figured since it was apart it made sense to weld it for a stronger fix. Does the crack go through to the outside surface?
Well the hub looks clean I'm looking at it's thickness. Parts cleaner not really, I have lots of "GUNK" engine degrease I've been using (FADES PLASTICS!)

I don't believe the crack does, there is a bunch of gasket sealer on that area over the outside so MAYBE. I'll take a look and post a picture.

Talking Update

So I decided to take the cheap-o way and use some Loctite quick set epoxy. I hope epoxy dose not decompose in engine oil once the pan is filled.

This is what the outside looks like, the previous jackhole did a nice and messy job with what appears to be some JBweld so I am not going to touch it but the inside is good so that's all that matters as long as it does not break down in oil.

Also I ordered some stuff online today, new spark plug, k&n oil filter, complete carb rebuild kit, 6 friction plates, and 5 new clutch disks.

Talking I did it!

So I finally got around to doing it, there's no going back now but I'm happy with it, still needs some fine sanding and bondo, fresh coat of paint. But it looks much more mean for an lt230s grille.

The airbox always makes a nice, comfy home for critters! You need to post some riding vids once she is all back together.

I'll have to take a look at autozone for that stuff. Anyone know where they sell (probably online) some of the same material they use on the seats so I can recover mine? After I'm done with this project I am going to try and trade it or sell it for a LT250r (most likely a somewhat project machine)
