We have a 05 vinson and we can not get it to run. i have taken the carb out and cleaned it and put it back in and still nothing. Even if i spray starting fluid in it. At first the gas would constantly run and would run back into the air box. Any ideas what it could be?

 

Bad needle and seat, float height, plugged jets?

 

if your spraying starting fluidd in it and its not firing you have a spark issue not carb check spark

 

Also check compression, it cant combrust the fliud,,,also check spark like himsa advised..Good Luck.

 

If you have spark, if you have that much gas coming out of the carb you certainly have a bit of an issue with the shut off valve in the float bowl. You may get away with just cleaning this, may need to replace. Once you have that solved, you should likely change your oil as gas probably ended up mixed with it.

 

is fuel spitting or spraying out back of carb? if so intake valve maybe out of adjustment
