I see your point there. However I have poor friends so having two quads with similar abilities is kind of nice. I also have an 03 Bombardier Rally if I want a nice trail ride, it may not be fast, but the ride is really comfortable.

I put some custom mud flaps on it today, I will post up some pictures tomorrow. I like how they came out, they look like they belong on the quad, I just wish I had bigger ones laying around, because these ones won't block much. I also put on a couple Suzuki stickers. I am going to see a guy I know who makes custom stickers tomorrow and have him make me some LT230 stickers for the rear fenders.

Here is my latest mod. Screw paying $41 for new factory mud flaps. IMO smaller ones look better anyways.

That looks pretty good. Little scratched up unfortunately, probably what I am looking forward too the least.

I think my favorite part of yours is the different color frame. I will probably take mine down next year and paint my frame the same color as my seat, I really love how the orange and blue came out.

thats the original plastics from my first build. the new one runs on race fuel and nothing else. it isnt even considered a 230 anymore its a 253cc nightmare on 4 wheels.

So are my plastics, but they better not have any scratches after how much work I put into spraying them and sanding.

Seems like thats a little risky as far as reliability wise.

no not really. i have built 4 other engines exactly like the one i have. the first one i built was in '05 and its still running. the guy i built it for has been through 3 frames with that engine.

and you might want to take good pics of your 230 now while it looks good because it wont look that good forever. the plastics are almost always gonna get banged up, then the a arms will take a few hits, then the frame will take its hita as well. you cant avoid it, because if you do, you're not really riding your 230 to its full ability. i push mine to the edge and past it every time i get on it. just a habit i guess. i have full confidence in all my engines i build, i know it can handle it. i have built 50+ 230's some just the engine and quite a few full frame up resto builds.

Just seems like its pushing the motor to its mechanical limits, plus if something blows you don't have much to shave off the jug. If I was going to put that much work into it I would just buy a Quadzilla and be done with it lol.

I only really ride it on tracks and trails without jumps, so it probably wont get to bumped up. Not really a fan of taking it off big jumps.

i have owned a Quadzilla, 2 in fact. I hated rebulding the top end every 100 hours. Most days i ride aroun 3-4 hours. And i am no where close to my engines mechanical limit. I can easily squeeze another 23 hp out of it without spending more the $100. Plus i have 8 other topends laying around with the carbs for each one and 4 different cams. So parts arent exactly a problem.

a 20 foot table top is the max i have ever jumped. i tried a few triples, wasnt really impressed much. Natural jumps are the best, the ones mother nature makes. I ride tons of trails, hence the name Trailrider. I usually help alot of guys on here with parts. if i have an extra or 2 laying aroun, i almost always say just cover the shipping and its yours, unless its a high dollar part like crank case sets. i never sell them. they are too hard to find with all the bolt holes intact. most of them are damaged from the famous chain in the mag cover illness. it took me 3 years to amass my huge stock pile, and it bugs my wife because i have parts everywhere. so thats why i dont charge for the part, just the shipping.

i plan on addin Nitrous later this year for ice riding, that'll be fun.. but it all depends on wether i sell my beloved Mistress or not. I haven't really decided yet. i get offers of $1500+ but i dont need the money that bad. it all depends on how you build these bikes, you can build one to its full potenial and reap the rewards or build a clunker and lose money.
