Default lt80 dying...

Pt80 was rebuilt frame up two seasons ago. Had very little use last season. We brought as a backup for trail riding bit before that I did pull carb and cleaned it out. Jets were dirty. Fired up and ran great as it has since rebuild.

Fried sprocket on Polaris so we pulled this quad out and ran great. Out several hours on the trails with it. Starts ok first pull and runs great!
All of the.sudden it just sputered AND died. Last night. Was late so we.let it sit. pulled plug and cleaned it and fired it up this morning but only after holding throttle at wide open. Ran up on trails for over an hour and at the top of a hill it died. It did go through some muddy waterhopes on that trail but should no signs of issues until a few minutes later.

Checked spark withij minutes to eliminate a bad spark box but had plenty. Found fuel vacuum line was knocked off so cleaned and put back on. Thought that was it but still could not get it to fire up.

Towed off trail. Let it sit a few hours and it fired first pull! Having him take it out for awhile now in the play area but open to suggestions.

New piston and rings at rebuild. MAYBE 20 hours on machine since. Don't have compressing Gage here but Definitely harder to pull with plug in than w/o.

Good spark
Fuel...at least to the carb
Air not blocked...we cleaned airbox before departure
Compression seems good but unable to verify with gage
Fires and runs awesome BUT it does smell like it is heavy on the oil...
Still has oil pump

Possible fouling plug?? Looks good, maybe a little darker than normal...

Any ideas guys? We have another day of riding and I would love to get out and enjoy AMD not have to pull off trail again....

Clean the carb again.
I think it sucked dirt in.
Plus it sounds like the float needle isn't working correct. Another dirt symptom.

I will check thaqt, Jack. Fired it up and ran cpl hours last night. Rode trails this morning for a few hours with no problems. Didn't do anything to quad just rode. Thought issue went away. Should know better.
About w mile before trailhead going up steep bumpy hill it just died... Thought maybe fuel so put on reserve. Would not fire. Towed off tail again. Fired right up at campsite but had to hope throttle open.
We are done for weekend so.will open carb up this week to see if any crap got in there...
