So smoked the clutches trying to pull a truck, tuesday last week my local shop told me to pull clutches, bring them in because they were going to measure them they didn't know what size they were because zuki changed engines mid year.

So got the new clutches in today, and....
Forgot some stuff obviously.

Kick start not engaging.
Clutch doesn't seem to be letting go even at max adjustment.

And what holds the clutch gear shank into the housing? Just seems to sit in there? I don't have any extra parts lying around and everything seems to be fine? Well, except for those two issues

 

As far as I can tell, it just sits in there. Its popped out on me once before.

The kick start shouldn't have anything to do with the clutch. You probably just didn't put the kick start back together right. I guess I'm not much help, but you have to kinda figure out how the kick starter works once you take it apart.
