I have an LT 80 When it's cold and you try to start it it cranks and cranks Then once running it runs fine Not sure what to do any help would be greatly appreciated thank you
It's new to me and it just had a new cylinder piston rings installed And I have the old ones so I know was done So maybe just a carburetor cleaning I do not have a compression tester
Sometimes that does it.
If it does help but don't fix it, It'd be in the choke circiut. Maybe have to remove the choke plunger and clean/inspect (I'll presume you didn't take it out).
You did remove both jets and clean all the lil holes? Right?
O-ring behind carb is there and in place?
LT80 might be on the right track... I have had to clean carbs more than once before to get them clean enough. It's much easier to take it all apart and super clean it once.
Another thing to look at, It seems that that lil o-ring under the main jet are swelling up and blocking the passage. I've had to remove that o-ring.
I think it's the ethanol doing it.
