86 Suzuki LT230 Problem
#1
I am working on a 1986 Suzuki 230G and have rebuilt the carb and I am having trouble with it taking no throttle at all...It just cuts off...I have noticed that if I smother the air inlet that it will take more throttle than without...It has no air filter or lid for the box...Not sure if fuel pump might not be pumping enough for it to take the throttle or what the problem is...Any help will be greatly appreciated...

if it will run on choke or even idle without, but not when you touch the throttle, its probably a plugged pilot jet. the hole in them is very very small and plugs from sitting with gas in the carb usually. i always use a single strand of an old throttle cable, i have had carbs off half a dozen times pulling my hair out and this was the problem....hope this helps!
