Yeah I had the ground connected when I did all this. And ok I'll try stock jetting

i still cant get this thing running im going to get a compression check to make sure i didnt warp anything when it got soaked in water. i can almost get it running if i hook the battery charger up to it and crank it over and slowly giving it gas till full throttle but it never wants to fire off. its not getting any smoke coming out of the exhaust and if i pull the carb off it is sucking in through the reed cage. if i keep cranking it over it eventually just gets the starter too hot and trips out and i dont want to fry the starter and its a p.i.t.a to replace.
im at a loss on this thing.
