i have a suzuki ltz400 2004 and i am planning on doing a budget mx build. i want to know how i could lower it in the back and front but.. i dont want to spend thousands of dollars. im wanting to lower it about 3 inches in the front and 2 1/2 in the back. (NO LOWERING KITS!! THEY DONT DO WELL ON JUMPS!)

You need to widen your quad. By widening your quad, it will make it wider (makes it more stable) and lowers your quad at the same time. So you need to widen it and get +? A arms

Sorry, can't help but be curious. Other than going to 18" tires, why lower a MX quad?
IMO, like mentioned widen +2 in the front (usually the cheapest).
Wider axel if that's in the budget.
You'll go faster with good shocks than you will with any other mod. There are very good rebuild kits/shops (GTThunder if they are still in business) for shocks. Spend money here.
