Default LT125 piston ring oem install problem/help

Hi guys i finally got all my parts in for my LT125, replaced reverse idler and driven all assembled now working on top end refresh. Got to installing my rings today and im not 100% on which ones ore 1 and second.
As per my shop manual it states oil rings no direction no problem.
Apparently top ring is chromed , second ring is darker black and both should have a stamping R for top side. My dilemma is my rings i took off are stamped R1 and R2 ok makes sense, my replacement rings from suzuki only has one of the rings stamped R, it seems to be the darker one so id guess its second ring, the other ring has a chrome edge so should be top ring but has no R or any sort of stamping. I have checked under magnifying glass and has a bevel on both side and looks almost if not identical ??
Any one has run into a problem like this i have searched for info on line but found none thanks for any help

Tom

If you bought the rings from a Suzuki dealer, their mechanics will have come across this, so contact them and ask if you can talk to their mechanic. Some are awkward and like to keep secrets, but most are only too happy to pass on what they know.

spoke today with a small engine/bike/sled shop and said no stamping on ring means any side is ok. He was real confident on that, kinda makes sense tho and it does look the same has a bevel edge on both sides.
I will find out by this weekend !
