Maybe check to see if the pipe is plugged.

 

OK compression is good
what do you suggest I look at that could be causing it to loose power and puttering out when I give it full throttle ......
It will run hard for a min but then I let off the gas and it dies down to a shut off unless I catch it in time and sometimes am able to tap the throttle a few good times to keep it alive if that makes sense......

One other thing when I flip the petcock to reserve it dies out as well....

I'll check the pipe but I don't think it is that
it smokes good with pressure and still spits a bit of oil .
I've opened the little screw on the pipe and very little flow of oil comes out but not an excessive amount.

 

Do me a favor and try to get it running with the rear wheels off the ground. Thumb the throttle and tell us if it runs good with no load on it...

 

Yes it will turn on kick over and stay on and running I can give it full throttle release the throttle and it will hold a decent steady idle

 

Time for clutch maint.
