Default 06 Eiger issues

I own a 06 eiger 4x4 400 w/shifting. About 4 months ago I backfired and quit working. So I rolled it in to my shop and started researching possible issues. I found that the magnets came off the fly wheel. Instead of taking it to the local shop I tore into it. I purchased a puller that did not work. So I cut it off. I purchased a new flywheel and stater (rmstator- $300)and a rectifier($45). Put it all back together and no spark. I checked to see if maybe I didn't plug in the stater correctly or if I screwed something up. Also I talked with the local shop and no results. The shop recommended I replace the CDI(OEM- $425) so I did. No spark still. Am I missing something?? Please help. This is becomin a money pit. Thanks

Bet you had fun finding all the magnet shrapnel, sticks to every bearing and gear in the alternator case. I have had faulty new stators, check that the exciter coil and the trigger coil are both producing AC volts when the engine is spun on the starter. Best investment you can make is a workshop manual, to go through the ignition circuit tests. Take any resistance readings with a pinch of salt, other than open circuits that should be closed, and no resistance where there should be some.
