Had a weird one a few months back. I can't remember what bike the stator was for, but when I opened the RM box all the insulated wires had been cut with side cutters. Supplier couldn't send a replacement for a while, so I soldered the wires back together and tried out my new heat shrink insulating sleeves. Resistances tested out as OK so put it in the bike and it works fine. We did fit an aftermarket flywheel to an Eiger or 400 King Quad a while back, and haven't had problems, don't know if it was RM, but there won't be many people making them.
