Default Please help

Hello, I have a 03 Suzuki Ozark quadrunner 250. I'm hoping somebody can give me a little insight or advice on what to do. I got the bike from a friend who is no longer around the bike runs good rides good no problems there and when the motor works right and it's perfect. However the problem that I have found andtand isiis is I keep tearing up idler gears and starters. I have bought a OEM parts and when I put them on I can use the electric start roughly 30 times and then all of a sudden the starter starts grinding like it's not lined up with the gears which in turn tears up the idler gear. I have replaced both things about three times within a two-month time frame getting expensive and kind of a little bit annoying. I'm hoping somebody can give me a little bit of insight or what it could possibly be or even if it's an issue with these bikes. I know the idler gear is getting really hard to find for this particular bike. I don't really know what to do abouttabout this. Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Interesting that Suzuki changed the part number on the idler gear, may be worth checking that you don't have a miss match of parts, if it has had a later engine fitted and you are putting in early gears;- There must be some reason that early and late gears are different.
