Default Lt250r

Hey everyone, I have an 85 LT250R with a 34mm Mikuni from an 86, Bike has FMF gold expansion pipe, and a (I have no idea what company) silencer.

The bike runs great, starts first kick. Idles fine, on flat ground the bike screams. But I have an issue where the bike doesn’t seem to want to come up in or stay in the power when pulling a hill. She struggles a lot.

stock gearing 12/42. Maxima castor 927 at 32:1. Plug is blackish brown so I know she’s a little FAT, but I also have no smoke coming out of her when WOT. She wouldn’t run at all hardly on a 212 main jet. So I went back to the 200 that was in it. Needle clip is in the 4th position.

should I go up the position 5 on the needle? Or just drop to like a 190-195 main jet?

Compression is 155, I found that the float height was incorrect. I got it set. Which now feels like I’m back at square one. It dies at WOT with a 210, misfires and backfires with a 200. Ran out of time before I could continue jetting.
