Is there a new Suzuki sport quad or not?

Well, for sure that 400-450cc four-stroke will be based off the DRZ dirtbike. That's a very good starting point for a mid-sized performance machine. Liquid-cooled and four-valves, besides that you can't expect much more from Suzuki. That should be enough, though, to dethrone the 400EX from the mid-sized sport heap, powerwise. I just hope Suzuki got it right with the chassis and suspension. I would really be disappointed with a "warmed over" reappearance of the Quadracer 250-layout. I just hope that Suzuki got their hands on a Laeger/Roll/Lonestar chassis before designing this machine.
As for that 250cc four-stroke sport. Be prepared to see either the DRZ250 engine or that of the LT250S Quadsport. Some reason I believe it would be the latter since it is a proven design, although extremely dated. The dated part should bother Suzuki, since they still make the Quadrunner 250 with a similar engine from the same era as the Quadsport. My worst fear for the smaller sport quad is that it will just be a reintroduction of the LT250S, which was never too hot of a performer to begin with. We would be lucky to have a DRZ250-powered quad with a totally new chassis and ergos.
I guess we'll see in September...

I just received my September issue of Dirt Wheels and had to edit my post. Possibly two new sport quads, hope it is true.
The 250cc version sounds kind of interesting. If they follow the same idea as the old Quadsport than they would really have something. My '86 was 309lbs dry! A manual clutch sport quad with reverse would be awesome. Everything else is about 10yrs old that would compete against it. But if the build something similar to the 250ex, well, that will be a disappointment.
I'm surprised they didn't announce anything yet. Evry month when I read something I start getting excited. I was happy to see that they did indeed release four new quads. That is a start.
