little problems

i have an 88 quadzilla thats worek great except for when i am in first and second gear i have to rev the crap out of it because it kind bogs i guess you could say does anyone have a fix????

You probably need to check your jetting.

This would probably be cause by the idle screw. Do a plug chop and see if you need to lean or richen it out. The idle screw changes the low end power hit so that may be your prob.

Yeah right, why wont you guys just admit that the quadzilla is down on power?! I mean come on! A 500cc 2-stroke, I have 2 more strokes that you, and that means I have more power! (I am just kidding, dont get offensive!)

RideRed..your atv is yellow? (just kidding).


I don't believe the air idle mixture screw will do anything for your low end. It's just that..an idle circuit. Once you step on it another fuel/air circuit takes over.

Remember low end power is not a positive trait of most 2 strokes.

The idle circuit (controlled by the idle screw) is only used when the throttle is closed to about 1/4 open. Then the needle jet circuit takes over until about 2/3 throttle, then the main jet.
