Yeah, I know there is another post on this topic,But anyhow, They suggested that ALL 500s run race fuel? Are any of you Zilla owners doing this? I really wish they would have given some HP figures, or some solid drag numbers when they raced the modified DEes, Raptors and Shees. I am wondering how this kit would fare against the CT racing kit that is offered. Any thoughts?

I run mid-grade gas direct from the citgo station, then mix it w/ klotz synthetic oil. I think I'd go w/ CT's kit before DR's, but that's just my opinion w/ no real reasons other than the article makes it sound like the Zilla won't do **** against other quads and won't be reliable UNLESS you get Duncan Racing's kit installed......but I'm sure either of the 2 kits will make a diff. in performance......

By mid grade do you mean 89 octane? That is the mid grade where I live with 93 being the premium grade.

DirtWheels, you have to take what they say with a grain of salt. What good would it do them to say the Zilla walked all over everything out there? I think we all know no DS or Raptor was anywhere near the Zilla.

I have ct power package on my lt500. I have to say that there is a noticeable difference in power, not so much on the bottom but up on top it pulls quite a bit harder. The other noticeable difference is in throttle response there is no lag time anymore. The best part about it is my friend also has a stock 500 and his was faster than mine stock for stock. Now since the ct kit in first and second it is still a race but by third gear i am walking away. At the dunes I can beat most modified banshees, raptors and ds650 aren't even a challenge. I can keep within 25 feet of cr250 with paddles in a 300ft drag to give you some idea of power. The only thing I can say however is ct does take quite a while to get your cylinder back to you once they have it.

Do you have the complete package with the new piston? Is it higher compression, how about the carb, is yours still stock or do you have the 39mm. I did really like the K@N setup that Duncan was running, Im pretty sure im gonna pick that piece up.

I have the complete package. I have the 39mm but ct actually bores it out to 40mm. Throttle response is alot better. They also deck the head so yes there is more compression which requires you to run race gas, small sacrifice in my opinion. The one thing i think I want from duncan is that new intake and get rid of the airbox I had it leak in sand one time not a good thing at all.
