Eiger or Recon?
#1
I have been looking at getting my first Quads and had pretty much made up my mind on getting a Recon ES, but now looking at the 2x4 Eidger as a possible alternative. It has more power, more clearence, more accessories, more fuel, but is it any good?
And is it more of a Utility or Sport/Utility?
I'm only looking at quads that are easy on the pocketbook since I have to buy two (wife won't let me get just one ).
Thanks!

Get the SUZUKI if not for yourself, get it for your wife . It is vary easy to steer, great suspension (won't beat the wife up on your rides)and SUZUKI reliability is with out question. In a DirtWheels Mag. shoot out the EIGER was compared to the Honda RANCHER , you should take a look at the comparison , this might help with your decision. GOOD LUCK.

I'll go check out Dirt wheels, and see what they have too say, the price of the Eigor is good enough to consider over other midclass Quads. It enables me to stay close to the 8K for both range.
Thanks for the comments!

Well FOO, I think that you made the best choice. Your next consideration might be to get your wife the automatic with shiftable 4wd. from a safty consideration . My experince is that my wife has a LT-A500 (auto) with shiftable 2 to 4wd. and I have the LT-F500 5speed full time 4wd. and we just got back from 2 weeks of desert riding in your part of the country Bouse Ariz. There were times when I was hill climbing and dodging brush and cactus that I had wished that I was in a lower gear, and it caused a little moment, but my wife riding just behind me only had to worry about giving her auto. a little more throttle. Now she is a 5'2" 120# 62year young retired nurse that was able to stay up with 8 men on All brands of ATVs riding in the desert with all of its challenges and she did not have to worry about gear ratios, which made it a safer riding experence for her . You should be in a good bargining position because you are puchersing two ATVs.....Good Luck To You on your choice. oooooooh by the way her ATV (auto) will go faster then mine I weigh 210# ....and she likes to do that to me.
