twist throttle?
#2
I have a 88 250quadracer. I love my twist throttle. I can ride with the thum throttle it's just harder. like when you turn right you have to reach around the hadle bars and grab the throttle. If anyone is getting a twist and have never used one before plan on taking a little bit of time to get used to the new setup. hope to see yah all with twist throttles!

It's all personal preference!
I personally HATE twist throttles!
BUT It's all what YOU want, and what YOU are comfortable with.
I cut my teeth riding dirt bikes, so I'm very accustomed to using the old twist... just don't like it on a quad... There is a reason the engineers design them with the thumb.
Just my $.02

There was a twist on my zilla when I bought it and I took it off real quick. Going down hills or sometimes hitting a bump just the right way I would accidently twist the wrist and give it gas. On a zilla giving it gas when you don't expect it is not always a good thing!

i had one on my LT and i loved it. if you know how to control your wrist good then you shouldn't have any problems. the only time i ever messed up with it was when i accdently snagged a fence and it surprised me and i nailed the gas and it swung the whole qaud into the fence. everything was ok tho. i wouldn't buy one for my EX tho.. if your quad wheelies too easy i wouldn't recommend a twist.

I LOVE the twist. I had the thumber, but everytime I'd hit a bump (especially when in a turn) my thumb would slip off. Two-stroke power is like a lightswitch, it's either on or off. The twist is better in rough terrain allowing me to better control the application of roost.
