I just had the chance to look at the eiger up close earlier today because a friend just bought one. He's had it a week and the shift linkage broke. I was surprised to find that one the the connecting pieces is a plastic bolt. I was surprised because the plactis is fairly close to the exhaust pipe and I figured heat wouldn't be good for that plactic connecting bollt. His threads on the bolt stripped out and it became disconnected. He has had alot of people ride it and they could have shifted it hard or something. I just wanted to ask if anyone else had this problem? I loved riding it but it sucked having to put it into High/low/reverse/neutral by leaning over and pushing on the linkage itself.
