Pro's and Con's of the Vinson
#4
I haven't gotten it back yet. I broke some other stuff and the dealer told me that my vin number fell in the range of the needed shift kit. They told me it takes about 12 to 14 hours to fix it. The have to pull the motor and trans. out. They replace parts from the shifter all the way inside the trans. It is supose to make it shift like glass and take out all that noise that you can hear. I guess I'll have to wait till I get it back to see how it works. The dealer did say it would be like night and day difference.

Do you know the range of vin numbers the shifter repair falls under or can you get it from your dealer? After seeing the m.s.r.p of the Honda Rincon the Vinson is looking better all the time! Thanks in advance for your help

couldnt get the vin. # range, but the newer vinsons are supose to already heve the kit in them. So the Dealer said. After I get mine back, I'll email you with my vin. Maybe yours will be close to mine, if that will help.

Thank you for trying to get the numbers BadVinson, I have not bought the Vinson yet but wanted to see if the one on my dealers showroom needed the update before I bought it. I can't make up my mind to buy now or wait for the 2003 models
