She runs like a top after I get her warmed up but is hard to keep running at first. Is this pretty much the norm till broke in? I am really impressed with this quad so far.

Don't feel bad, mine is the same way. A few seconds and she will idle on her own...Jerry

Mine has always started, idled and run fine right from a cold a start, without the choke. It's in for first service now and I hope that it comes back the same way.

Mine starts w/ no choke but after 10 secs or so you have to give a little gas or choke, then runs well. A little cold natured but not too bad. Mine seems to be running good now after I got it back from the shop. There was some trash in the bowl of the carb from the factory and it was stalling. It's a nice quad and I like it so far, getting ready to change the oil tonight. I wound it out pretty good the other night and it's pretty quick but not as fast as my Kodiak, especially top end.

I guess I'll breaker her in go on my trip to Colorado if it still won't run at first I'll thak it in for service. I rode a kodiak and a fully broke in Eiger I like the Eiger and it seemed just as peppy and fast.

The Eiger 5 sp. seems faster than the Eiger auto and that's what I've read here, just more punch. The Eiger auto has some auto lag, unlike the Kodiak. I've only ridden one Eiger auto so that's my experience with them. I plan to drag them when it's broken in but I can already tell the Kodiak would win due mainly to the Kodiak not having to hesitate when changing gears, otherwise their close. I think the Eiger is a much better value though at $1000.00 less than the Kodiak. The Eiger can mud better than the Kodiak though. I just hope it will be as good a quad as my Kodiak, w/ one trip to the shop already it will take a few more rides before I have any confidence in it.

Took her in they had to adjust carb and change plug now starts and run fine. Do your Eigers make more internal noise between 0-15mph?

"more" is a subjective term but yes, my Eiger makes some noises that don't sound very smooth to me. I've asked several times at the dealer and I'm told these noises (which kind of sound like a slight rod knock) are normal.

That knock is a loose nut on the inner clutch shaft. Trust me
